The In-spec® Real UVT Standard solution can be used to conduct routine
performance and quality control checks on your Real UVT meter to validate the accuracy
of your results.
The In-spec® Real UVT Standard solutions are non-toxic, NIST traceable
standards and have a guaranteed one-year shelf life. The In-spec® Real UVT Standard
is an EPA approved alternative to mixing KHP (Potassium Hydrogen Phthalate) solutions (Rule
415.3 SUVA 254).
In-Spec® Real UVT Standard comes ready to use. Simply calibrate or zero out the Real UVT meter with a pure DI water sample first. Then pour the In-Spec® Real UVT Standard solution into the cuvette and compute the UV absorbance (UVA) with the Real UVT meter. Compare your result to the lot analysis provided with the standard. If your results are within a 5% tolerance, the instrument is working well. If your results are outside of the expected tolerance, check to make sure that protocols were followed and that the solution has not been frozen.
